ASAP 3 Updates – July, 2019

By |July 15th, 2019|

The following changes were made to ASAP 3 (also known as ASAP Classic) on 6/28/2019:

Within the transaction report, you’ll have the ability to select multiple users when filtering.

On our Go Online Registration site, the display of the invoice has been updated to properly show when a class’s start time may vary. On our Go Online Registration site, you can now collapse the name of a course in the navigation menu. A bug on our Go Online Registration site causing the “Oops” message to display incorrectly has been fixed. A bug causing lengthy load times on the product sales report has been fixed. Within the A/R Aging report, we resolved an issue with the future scheduled payments total column. The column now correctly calculates instances when students make only partial payments towards an individual month.

These changes are specifically for the CA Adult Schools:

ASA announces Chief Operating Officer

By |September 18th, 2014|

SUNNYVALE, CA — Administrative Software Applications (ASA) announced today the promotion of its Chief Technical Officer Travis Prowell to the position of Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately.

Citing strong revenue and account growth that surpassed the company’s first quarter 2014 goals, Chief Executive Officer Joel Meyer presented the new management structure at a recent company-wide meeting.  Meyer, at the helm filling both functions since 2004, will increasingly focus on expanding strategic business partnerships and new revenue streams. Prowell will direct all corporate departments and the day-to-day operations of its enterprise registration and management software platform, ASAP.

“Continuing this rate of growth requires that we work on more independent tracks,” Meyer said. “The […]

Community School of Music and Arts Launches a More User-Friendly System

By |February 28th, 2014|

Just in time for the busy summer class and camp registration season, CSMA announced a new online registration system that would “provide a more user-friendly experience for CSMA students, as well as streamline internal processes for CSMA staff. ” We’re proud to welcome Community School of Music and Arts to ASAP!

Founded in 1968, CSMA is Northern California’s largest non-profit provider of arts education programs, and one of only ten such schools its size nationwide. Annually, CSMA directly serves over 20,000 students a year through visual arts and music classes, lessons, camps and community events. Their in-school programs alone reach 10,000+ students in over 30 schools across Silicon Valley.

For many years, CSMA had operated under a homegrown system for registration and data management but that solution had finally reached its last useful update. It was time to upgrade to a system that could handle all of its needs—from Family Accounts to real-time Reporting. Without question, CSMA is a unique client; however, so many community schools face this same decision point in managing their administrative technology that we’ve added what we hope is useful detail and insight into user feedback that prompted such a transition and the benefits gained. […]

January 2014

By |January 1st, 2014|

The ritual of looking back over our shoulder at gains and losses reminds us that the good stuff is rooted in successful small steps. 2013 was that kind of year. Nothing wild and crazy; well…the creative bravado of our summer interns excepted. We improved the product incrementally all year long, and methodically designed and built a brand new feature in high demand — Private Lessons Management. Attracting the attention of prestigious schools and start-up ventures alike, we enrolled a beta set of testers and advisors from the masters themselves—music schools. And debuted to a very generous audience at a national conference on arts education. One step at a time, […]

A Summer Makeover for ASAP Events

By |June 13th, 2013|

Event management tools are prone to excess, in my experience. They tend to branch and branch again in anticipation of the seemingly endless details any particular type of event could possibly involve.  Soon the tool itself is a mammoth chore. That’s why this past year our developers have been working toward a more svelte and agile toolbox for events, first separating single-date events from multi-session conferences, and later dramatically shrinking the signup process for users on the go. With several refinements added this spring, we’re now introducing ASAP Events as an independent module in our registration software system.  It’s smart, quick, and elastic.

Whether you rely on ASAP Events for an […]

We Heart After-School Programs

By |August 16th, 2012|

Last night (likely in the wee hours of the morning), our team deployed the newest module into the ASAP system: Afterschool Programs. This new feature-set was designed specifically to meet the unique requirements of Afterschool providers, adding yet another tool for leaders and educators to effectively deliver high-quality learning experiences to their communities.

And while there is almost always a lot of passion and excitement when we deliver new features to our users, this particular module held a special place in the hearts of our entire team. As a family-oriented (as well as owned and operated) business, we have a wide-range of experience and respect for afterschool and out-of-school organizations and […]
