Today we’re rolling out a beautiful new design for the automated “payment received” and “payment due” emails that we send to your customers. The goal of the project was to make the transaction details more clear, to make it more obvious how to make a payment, and to improve the look of the emails on phones and tablets.
Here’s a picture of the old invoice, followed by the new one (see if you can spot the subtle improvements).
A couple of notes:
- At the moment you cannot edit the contents of the email templates as you could with the old ones. We should have that ability added to ASAP within the next week or two, and we will notify you when we do.
- We did move any custom messaging you may have put into your old templates over to the new ones. If for some reason you don’t see your messaging in the new emails, or it doesn’t look right, just send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll take care of it.
- Once these new designs are released, any edits you make to the old designs won’t effect the new ones, just FYI.
- In the coming days we will be adding your organization’s address, phone number, email address and website link to the bottom of the emails, as well as additional payment details and registrants.
This project is part of a continuing push to bring modern design practices and legibility to every corner of our product. It’s a long road ahead but this and the upcoming new online registration site design are two steps in that direction.
