By |May 29th, 2019|

The following changes were made to ASAP 3 (also known as ASAP Classic) on 5/24/2019:

When students are registering online, the system will now validate to see if there is a matching birthdate, email address, and state ID to an already existing user to prevent creating a duplicate record.

When admins are creating a student, the system will now validate to see if there is a matching birthdate, email address, and state ID to an already existing user to prevent creating a duplicate record. Private Lesson Roll module now has messaging and validation to avoid overload when you copy lessons from one time period to another.

These changes are specifically for the CA Adult Schools:

Prevent your ASAP email from being blocked

By |March 28th, 2017|

There is a type of internet scam know as “Phishing”. This is the fraudulent practice of sending emails purporting to be from reputable companies in order to induce individuals to reveal personal information, such as passwords and credit card numbers.

As more and more phishing scams are being circulated via email, email providers are becoming that much more aggressive in their efforts to block it. This is a good thing, but it has also resulted in a higher percentage of legitimate email being misidentified as forged and never making it to its intended recipient. If you have had customers tell you that they’re not receiving their ASAP emails, this may be why.

To address […]

Make changes to invoices without having to cancel the payment plan first

By |February 9th, 2017|

If you’ve ever had to make a change to an invoice that’s on a payment plan (adding a new item or discount, dropping or transfering a student, editing a fee) then you know how time consuming it can be. First you have to cancel the plan, then make the change, and then create a new payment plan. Too. Many. Steps.

Because everyone is too busy for all of that, starting today we are modifying our payment plan feature to allow you to make changes to invoices on payment plans without having to cancel the plan first. Any increase or decrease in fees that result from your changes will be automatically applied to the plan.

(If you want to […]

It’s Here! Google Analytics Integration

By |September 19th, 2016|

You spend lots of time and money promoting your organization and ultimately sending people to your ASAP online registration site. And what do you know about what they do once they get there? Up until now it’s only been which classes they’re ultimately enrolling in.

In order to really optimize the performance of your site you need more information, and for that you need Google Analytics (GA). Today we’re very excited to announce full integration between GA and your online registration site. Just sign up for a GA account (it’s free), plug your GA tracking code into “Google Analytics ID” field on the ASAP Preferences page, and you’re done.

With GA you can see:

where your students are coming from […]

Don’t Be Surprised When Change Happens

By |September 9th, 2016|

It is natural to dread change, especially from an organizational perspective. Everything is ticking along nicely and then one shift creates some serious challenges. This is especially clear when someone using a system leaves and no one really knows what on earth they’ve been doing for the last few years.

There are some things you can adopt now to help with any transition and make the management and use of systems quickly transferable between users.  In fact, we’d recommend you make it a requirement of your System Administrator to produce and maintain documentation that would allow for a smooth handover.

Using the ASAP support site usually gets you what you need when you […]

Friday 8/26 – partial service disruption

By |August 30th, 2016|

This is a follow-up on the partial disruption of service we experienced on our HSRP net between 08:30-08:50 PST on Friday, 8/26/2016.

The event that caused the disruption in service occurred “upstream” from the ASAP network at one of the core internet service providers. For some background, the ASAP network infrastructure is supported by a redundant HSRP circuit, which is backed by multiple ISPs. The ISPs supporting our Internet connectivity are Level 3, ATT, Verizon, and WV Fiber. Traffic to/from the Internet is load balanced between these 4 providers, and in the event of an catastrophic failure on one of these circuits, our traffic will continue to be supported by […]
