ASAP Q4 Product Review
Hi everyone, here’s a quick look at what we accomplished over the last three months of 2015 and a preview of what we’re working on next.
This last quarter was all about laying the foundation for future growth and product stability. As our customer base grows, the load placed on ASAP grows as well. While this isn’t an issue at the moment, we could see that if we continued to grow at this pace, eventually it will affect the performance of our product.

Where did the “Change Status” link go?
You may have noticed that we’ve removed the “Change Status” link from the invoice detail page. By clicking that link you used to be able to change the status of an invoice from PAID to UNPAID, allowing you to add new items to that invoice or edit the amounts of existing items (you couldn’t previously add or edit items on a PAID invoice).
While having the ability to add or remove items from a paid invoice is important to some schools, allowing someone to change an invoice’s status to UNPAID when there’s a payment recorded against it would occasionally result in some strange behavior with the invoice, including the amounts on the invoice not totaling […]
Preview our new invoice detail page
We’re excited to announce the beta release of our new invoice detail page, and we’d love to here what you think about it. Updating our invoice page has been a long time coming in regards to the display as well as functionality. As ASAP has grown over the years, more and more features have been added to accommodate the changing market. As such, we are making the new design available today as a public beta.

ASAP University Now Live
We’re excited to announce the release of ASAP University! ASAP U is a collection of video tutorials specifically designed to get you up and running with ASAP. The tutorials are grouped into four courses:
Registrar Basics
Class Management
Private Lesson Management
A Quick Look Around
The courses are set up as a guided curriculum with each tutorial building upon what you’ve already learned. The four courses include video guides that are quick and instructive, all of which will help you get versed in and up to speed with the different modules in ASAP.

New options for student report templates
We’ve recently made changes to our beloved Student Report, and the underlying data templates that power it.
In addition to giving you the ability to build templates from any data fields for a student, we’ve now added the ability to include aggregates and other related data. For starters, we’ve included the following new options that can be added to any student data template:
Age
Account Balance
Account Credit
Customer Groups
Enrollments
Primary Account Name
Primary Account Email
Primary Account Phone
Tenure (months)

New Instructor Availability Page!
We’re very excited to announce the launch of our new redesigned instructor availability page! Our development team has been busy working on a number of improvements and new features for this page and we’re pleased with the results. The new page will be available live on Thursday, March 24th.
For those of you new to entering availability in ASAP, instructor availability allows you to track when your teaching staff is available to teach. Any availability entered will integrate with the master calendar, making scheduling much easier and quicker. Click here to learn more about how instructor availability works in ASAP.

New Servers Are Coming!
On Saturday, March 12th April 23rd at 4pm pacific time, we will be performing a major upgrade to the hardware that runs your ASAP system.
For the last few months our engineers have been busy drawing schematics, purchasing servers, and configuring systems that will become the basis for a new ASAP Systems Platform.
The new hardware includes a brand new database server with exponentially more power than what we are running on now, as well as improved configuration for quicker disaster recovery, failover, and scalability.
