Next ASAP Webinar: Meet Our New Invoice Page

By |November 9th, 2016|

Please join us next Monday, November 14th, for a tour of our newly redesigned invoice page. The new page offers more flexibility around adding and editing items, is much faster, and is much easier to use.

The new page is currently in beta (meaning you can access it from the current invoice page by clicking the “Check out the new Invoice Beta” link) but as of December 1st it will become the default invoice page. We will leave a link up to the old page for a short time and then retire the old page all together.

If you have any questions or just want to see what the new page has to […]

Beautiful new “payment received” and “payment due” emails for all

By |October 20th, 2016|

Today we’re rolling out a beautiful new design for the automated “payment received” and “payment due” emails that we send to your customers. The goal of the project was to make the transaction details more clear, to make it more obvious how to make a payment, and to improve the look of the emails on phones and tablets.

Here’s a picture of the old invoice, followed by the new one (see if you can spot the subtle improvements).

NEW:

A couple of notes:

At the moment you cannot edit the contents of the email templates as you could with the old ones. We should have that ability added to ASAP within the next week or two, and we will notify you when we […]

It’s Here! Google Analytics Integration

By |September 19th, 2016|

You spend lots of time and money promoting your organization and ultimately sending people to your ASAP online registration site. And what do you know about what they do once they get there? Up until now it’s only been which classes they’re ultimately enrolling in.

In order to really optimize the performance of your site you need more information, and for that you need Google Analytics (GA). Today we’re very excited to announce full integration between GA and your online registration site. Just sign up for a GA account (it’s free), plug your GA tracking code into “Google Analytics ID” field on the ASAP Preferences page, and you’re done.

With GA you can see:

where your students are coming from […]

New Look in Calendar for Pending and Trial Lessons

By |September 9th, 2016|

Now you can tell which private lessons have been paid for, which are still awaiting payment, and which are trial lessons, right from the calendar: A paid lesson has a solid gray border; an unpaid lesson has a dashed border, and a trial lesson has the word “Trial” after the title of the lesson.

ASAP Q4 Product Review

By |May 19th, 2016|

Hi everyone, here’s a quick look at what we accomplished over the last three months of 2015 and a preview of what we’re working on next.

This last quarter was all about laying the foundation for future growth and product stability. As our customer base grows, the load placed on ASAP grows as well. While this isn’t an issue at the moment,  we could see that if we continued to grow at this pace, eventually it will affect the performance of our product.

Rather than wait until that day came we decided to put our other work on hold for a few months to focus on the kinds of foundational projects that will […]

Where did the “Change Status” link go?

By |May 19th, 2016|

You may have noticed that we’ve removed the “Change Status” link from the invoice detail page. By clicking that link you used to be able to change the status of an invoice from PAID to UNPAID, allowing you to add new items to that invoice or edit the amounts of existing items (you couldn’t previously add or edit items on a PAID invoice).

While having the ability to add or remove items from a paid invoice is important to some schools, allowing someone to change an invoice’s status to UNPAID when there’s a payment recorded against it would occasionally result in some strange behavior with the invoice, including the amounts on the invoice not totaling […]

Introducing Mobile Attendance and Schedules for Instructors

By |August 10th, 2015|

Among an instructor’s least favorite activities, two that are usually at the top of their list are:

recording and submitting attendance
keeping up with changes to their schedules

With that in mind, as a gift to instructors (and administrators) everywhere we present to you the ASAP Teacher’s Assistant app. With Teacher’s Assistant an instructor can record and submit attendance from their phone, right from their classroom. And if there’s a last-minute change to their schedule, that will appear in the app as well.

To make sure there’s no excuse not to give it a try, we’ve made the app really, really easy to use:

Open the app.
Touch the class or lesson you want to submit attendance for.
Mark […]

New Feature: Switching Private Lesson Instructors

By |January 30th, 2015|

So an instructor called this morning to say they need to take the final three weeks of the year off due to a family emergency. Or, you got a call from a student and they would like to switch to a different instructor for the remainder of the semester.

In the past you had to drop these students from their lessons and re-enroll them with a new instructor, meaning that switching instructors was possible but not as easy as it should be. Well today we’re making it a whole lot easier.

There are actually two ways to switch instructors now. Both of them can be done from the student’s private lesson detail […]

SUNNYVALE, CA — Administrative Software Applications (ASA) announced today the promotion of its Chief Technical Officer Travis Prowell to the position of Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately.
